Description
The underwater shower massage is performed in a bath filled with warm water (36-38℃). The practitioner massages the entire body with a jet of water coming from a hose. The soft tissues are more relaxed here than in a normal massage, and the massage is not painful in the water.
The procedure improves blood circulation and oxygenation, speeds up metabolism and elimination of waste products. The procedure improves mobility limitations, reduces joint pain caused by arthrosis, decreases lyphostatic swelling and softens subcutaneous tissue tightness.
Contraindications
The procedure is not suitable during pregnancy. You should also avoid underwater shower massage if you suffer from acute inflammation, fever, varicose veins, phlebitis or thrombosis. It is not recommended for those taking blood thinning medications or those with serious heart conditions.
