Description
The compression therapy device stimulates circulation and the lymphatic system, reducing swelling and restoring muscle function. Special cuffs are placed around the arms or legs, the chambers of which are filled with air, and a compression massage – a regular alternation of pressure and pauses – is performed.
Compression massage has a pain-reducing effect, stimulates blood circulation to promote wound healing, relieves dynamic and lympho-sostatic swelling, and improves lymphatic and vascular flow. The device similarly affects subcutaneous tissues by stimulating both lymphatic and interstitial fluid drainage and stimulating cell and tissue metabolism. Suitable as a substitute for massage in case of problems with varicose veins, swelling, muscle tension, cellulite.
Contraindications
Compression therapy is not suitable in the case of heart failure, deep vein thrombosis, inflammatory phlebitis or pulmonary embolism, the presence of tumours, limb infections, tachycardia.
